Birthday Update

Friend wanted to sell me his Canon EF 90-300mm USM lens....

USM - Ultrasonic in which the auto focusing is really darn fast.... never experienced such speed before 0.0
Overall it's quite tall, cause it's a tele-lens, this is it at 90mm

And at 300mm.... one big batang sticking out~~ XD

I wouldn't say it's bad... but rather it's cool to finally have a lens that can really stand out!! But either way friend wanted to sell it to me at RM450... which I think is cheap but.... either way I made some test shots in it first before making my decision....

Overall I'd say it's a really nice lens because of the 300mm zoom range, plus with USM it's kinda good too with the quick focus... but the bad thing??? Well when you zoom to 300mm it's a little harder to control the shakiness caused by hands unless there's a tripod, had to combat that with a fast shutter speed... but sometimes it still fails and becomes blur...

Another thing is that those shots were taken outdoor with lots of natural light so the shutter speed could be faster... but if done indoor??? Well I'd really suffer in that area~~ Especially since this lens doesn't have IS (Image Stabelizer) with it....

So what was my final decision??? I decided to not buy it... it's a shame though... but RM450 is quite a lot of money too you know??? I guess I just gotta train myself to be more brave to be able to walk up front and close rather than be lazy and hide in the corner zooming in on people~~

Not sure la... gotta think over this nicely, save money for something better, planning on a really good lens at the moment *heh heh* But also planning on a camera bag cause I really need the protection d... camera's getting a few scratches already... or maybe a Bicycle??? Cause I need the wheels to travel around next near... back and forth...

Hmmm donno la... I guess the trick in life is that unless you're rich, think closely over and over and over again if that thing you want to buy is worth all the money and do you really need it??? Hehe that's what I think though... oh well =)
