Minister's Retreat 2009

Shall blog about the Minister's Retreat camp I was in last week~ or was it two weeks ago??? Hmm... can't remember~~

We went to Johor, forgot the name of the hotel, but seemed to be some big grand hotel, only problem is that the buildings are set too far away!!
Our A/G theme for this year... Lead, Change, Grow...

To those who aren't familiar... Minister's Retreat is a once in 2yrs camp where all the Assemblies of God minister's go to, bringing their family and children along~ where pastors can have a time of relaxing, but yes you still have to go for service in the end XD
Parents
Their super ultra grand room 0.0

Should be a couple room, seeing how the wall can be pulled aside revealing the bathtub and the toilet... makes jumping into bed easier after a bath~~
They had 2 big parrots and a peacock there... and that was the first time in my life I found out that parrots are such annoying birds, when I wanted to take a picture of them they started screaming or shreaking to the top of their voice... ahh yes piercing and annoying to the ears... -_-"

Forget the peacock...
For me... I went to the Pastor's Kids side... but I think I would rather go to the adults service next time...

Didn't take much pictures of the people because... not sure but felt lazy to photograph people in this camp =)
Second Day.... we didn't have lunch at the hotel, thank goodness though.. the food wasn't all at it's greatness... must've used all their money in building the building that they forgot to hire chefs....
Brickwall... it just amuses me
It does make a nice frame~~
When we went out for lunch, that's where I met the Fast & Furious aunty~
Clock tower... hmmm...

The sun was blazing hot, I was sweating in my butt... but, it's time's like these where the sky becomes even more blue than it should be~ combining with Canon's CLEAR Picture Style, it makes wonderful effects for skies ~~
See the Island??? It's Singapore, not sure why there's always like this battle between Singapore and Malaysia... was supposed to visit Singapore though, but something came up so I had to decline the offer to go... arrgh...

"Delight in Service" *sigh*
Sea.... weird, the water sparkled more when I took it...
This is my first time trying out the "Curves" option in Photoshop, not bad I guess... usually I'd screw the picture up big time -_-
Then went back to hotel, and decided to walk around the golf course and take some nice pictures since the sky is so beautiful...
Cacat Flower
Had to crop this, would be better if I had a telelens to zoom in~
I shall call this "Honey Bee Flower" XD
After this then I noticed why it was so darn hot, cause I was wearing black with Jeans, so went back to room to change to a more revealing but cooling set of clothes~~
Found this interesting angle with that tower there...

I like how the clouds went along with the lines
*Dang Dang Dang*
Wanted to walk in the golf course but afraid I might be killed Point Blank by a golf ball...
First time trying a Panoramic Picture, meaning taking few pictures, then combining into one big and long long long wide picture~ kinda failed though... click on the picture and you would understand why~~ XD

With tripod also can fail... I need more practice, especially retouching the picture in Photoshop... ahh lots to learn =)
Japanese Koi... these bunch of fish are seriously huge 0.0

I know it doesn't really look that big here, but you have to see it to understand.... scary siao 0.0

Wonder if their tasty??
Water Fountain

*SPLASH*
Japanese Koi Pond

They could've thought of a better name for it since it's just walls covering and being filled inside with water... is it even a pond??? 0.0
More Brick Wall
How did I take this?? Well just using the sunlight to beam in on the green part, and finding a right angle of using the shadows on the other side of the leaf, fast shutter speed to capture lesser light and... walah!! XD

No editing required!! And that's the most fantastic part...
Crack Pot of Love
Check out the roots!! XD
Flowers on Water
Ahhh... and this is the main service hall... looks like a tent, shall call it a Tabernacle~~
This is the inside of it... freaky wei... cause it was kinda filled up, and on the last day I had to worship lead in front of a bunch of Ministers, which made the pressure rise even the more 0.0

But thank God, things went well, and hopefully God was glorified, and lives were touched~ I feel braver already XD
Johor.... they have wide roads~ do this back in KL and people would so parking from Double Parking to Triple Parking, maybe even Quardriple Parking =..=

But oh well... interesting trip, hope to go again and really visit more of the City of Johor to take more pictures, especially pay a visit to Singapore~ arrrgh =)
