The End of a Proud Race

It was a sad day...

Remember my An Ant's Life Pose?? Well few weeks ago I went back to see and found out that they have built more nest, they had around 4-5 nest altogether... wow~ then if you shook the nest a bit, then a whole bunch of them would run out of the nest, each one covering the whole nest and standing in a defense position... wow... that would've be a great picture to take, so I came back last week to wanna photograph them...
To my shock... they were all dead, those in the nest, those on the trees, they just lay there not moving, poke them a bit... oh my... they were dead 0.0

Must've been the pest control people came and spray the whole place end up killing all of them in the process.... Nooooooo....

Ahhh... there goes my opportunity for a beautiful picture..
It IS kinda sad though... seeing some of them holding on to one another even in death, some even trying to protect the nest, some hiding alone and dying alot.. hmm... it's not a pretty sight to see

After looking at them and feeling emo about it.... WAIT!! What's that!??!?!
There is still one ant alive??? 0.0

It went around, touching the dead ants... and ended up proceeding to the main nest..
And it went inside (left side of picture)

I tried to peek inside the nest, can't really see anything much... but I can feel that this little ant is trying to rebuild his community... hmmm

A New Hope Perhaps?? =)

Of course after going back I dropped my lens so its... arrrgh.... -_-"

Either way... the next day while I was wanting to go back my church after college, church member found this on his car... woah? 0.0
So much red ants still alive?? And wait!! See those little white things in the center?? Those are eggs just hatching 0.0
Ants gathering around and celebrating the birth of those little ants hatching out from the eggs.... hmmm wow.... seems to be a new start for them~ haha this kinda feels like a movie, but hey it's happening right in front of you!! =)

Maybe weeks later I'd be seeing the ants nest rebuilt and increased 500 times more~ that would be wonderful, but also scary if they bite me =.=

Red ants are interesting... but hopefully I don't end up become an ant photographer... scared they bite me =P
Either way... work hard red ants!! Will visit you all again soon =)

Transformers 2

What can I say about this movie???

Geng dou HEH!!!!

Which kinda means in cantonese that it's superb till you would express it by shouting HEH!!!


I used to be interested in Transformers, well the first movie made everyone go wild by screaming that it's an awesome and magnificent show, and how Megan Fox is a hot chick and stuff... but to me that show was good, but nothing spectacular...

After watching part two... my gosh... 0.0

You see a single 5minute fighting scene also can be blown away already... imagining how many months it would take to do the computer graphics to do it, maybe they might be using human movements recorded, then puting a cover over them to look like robots... but even so... so much work wei... one bash the robot parts fly out like that so detailed 0.0

As much as I would love to tell the story, many people whom have not watched it yet might scold me and bash me up... so I shall keep quiet, but really, go watch it~ not once, but as much as you can afford, go watch it more~ XD

BUT ahhh I cannot tahan one part so must reveal~!!! XD XD XD

Optimus Prime had an upgrade and it's major geng chao siao!!!
Woooiyoh..... in the movie you can't see much of it cause too much moving around, but seeing the parts in detail in this still picture is... wahseh wahlao wei...
Really la... super ultra good movie la~ I'm sure gonna be watching it again that's for sure!!! XD

I'd give it a 10/10!!!

The story is okay okay, but mainly you would be like "C'mon less talking more fighting!!"

But really la the fighting scenes blows you away... but too fast movement, my brain still absorbing it now.. haha... very good action, very good movie ~

Of course some people are still wondering about the Megan Fox issue of her being a man or a girl... seriously after watching this movie I have no idea... but overall.. I don't care anymore lar... ahhh.... guy or girl not my problem~ she's not my girlfriend XD

Happy Birthday Dad

Supposed to be a yesterday post but internet was lousy as was my day... so had to do it today morning -_-"

HAPPY BIRTHDAY my father!! You're now one year older than you're supposed to be, which is a good thing I think... since looking back at how much we've been thru as a father and son, scary as it might be... those were still good times, and they're getting better each day

Haven't given you your gift yet cause it's still hidden in the wonders of my room right now... have to go back later and wrap it up then can pass to you, you're one of those difficult people to buy presents for because mainly whatever you want or need you would certainly be able to obtain it, as for me... I just got something that reminded me of you, no special reason... just got it~

Through the good and bad times, I am still thankful, not only as your child, but also as your son, that through the scolding and all the things you are supposed to do as your duty as a father, I never could understand them all being a child, but now as a man (I'm old enough!) I'm more than able to understand why you did that, and I am greatly thankful that you did it, that all those suffering times (for me) were times of character building for myself, that I have grown to be QUITE a good person... I think, but still... I'm grateful for whatever has happen in my life through you

From the beginning stage when I've entered BCM, it has not only been a new opening for myself in understanding the ministry, but in some ways it has also made me realize how wonderful my father is in the ministry, that how much needs to be sacrificed, how much you have to limit yourself to just to be upholding the name of God, the struggles you go through, and so much more as a mere mortal... not many can understand what you do to be right, but I have to say unless they get themselves involved in the ministry, it could never be understood just by seeing or hearing

Not quite sure what else to talk about... but well... though you might not be the best father in the world, but I have no reason to complain or say anything because I don't have enough father's in my life to compare with one another, I have just one to start out with, and I'm sure I'm gonna be ending my life with still just one father~~

So I thank you for everything else you have done, may you have an awesome birthday, and may this year be a year of many happiness and blessings just for you alone, because you truly deserve it~

I'm dead...

Die lo this time.......

Was bored in room... donno what to do till E-team practices at 4:00pm... so thought of going out to take more pictures of the red ants nest at the dining hall there... upon reaching, I found all dead bodies of red ants on the ground 0.0

Someone killed them all??? 0.0

All the ants were dead, including those inside the nest too were all dead... looks like someone sprayed those insect killing smoke and that killed them all...

*DARN!!!*

All I could do was capture a few pictures of dead ants, and go back... end up while going back I was packing my camera back inside my bag, and can say kinda slipped a bit, and the lens went flying and crashing down the stairs O.O

I was literally stunned for a moment but quickly grabbed it and ran back to my room to check on it... ahhh yes to my mind I was thinking maybe just a bang bang here and there not so bad... then I saw the filter..
One huge crack in the corner O.O

In which I thought to myself... okay not that bad... cause its a UV filter and it's one of those lowest and cheapest in it's class.... won't be worth that much too and it isn't expensive to buy a new one.....

Then I test the lens...
Nothing.... no damage, just a little damage on the corner of it... tried using it and oh my goodness... -_-"

The autofocus is broken, therefore I can't use the autofocusing function anymore, therefore I have to use manual focusing all the way right now...

Oh man oh man oh man...

Sure die d this time... -_-"

HAIH!!!!!

As much as I would like to regret... nothing I can do about it, maybe gotta take it to fix soon too...

BUT looking on the bright side...
The lens isn't damaged, just that have to use manual focusing all the way now...

Pictures taken from it are still as normal as ever

It's a kitlens, and the lowest in it's class

Non stabelizer version too so it's barely even worth rm100...

Maybe it's time to get a new lens to replace the kitlens

Ahhh... but still... would be nice to get a new lens to replace, but I really lack the funds to get a new lens =(

Most likely would be taking this lens to fix, ahhh... there goes my dream of getting a flash for this month or next month since would be taking out some money from there to pay... =(

Depressing wei.... yoh....

Go back tomorrow sure kena badly wan....

Till then...gonna be stuck using the 50mm lens... hmmm, nothing bad about it just that it can't go wide angle to take group shots =.=

Drag Me To Hell

Seems to be the latest craze...

This movie has been making people rather curious and interested.. mainly cause of the title I guess... or people wondering how might hell actually look like, I mainly haven't seen this movie yet that's for sure.. in no way is this a title for a comedy movie too!! 0.0

Observing the poster... this movie seems odd, the girl doesn't look like she's screaming, rather snoring in her sleep, and why hor... when you're a demon pulling someone down to hell, still can find time to rob her necklace wan ah??? 0.0

But friend wanted me to watch with her, and though as tempting as it may be I'm still having second thoughts because there might be possibilities that I might faint in the cinema, scream loudly, jump and hug her, run out of the cinema, or worse pass out and white foam comes out...

Exaggerating?? I don't think so... my friend watched it last last week, and their plan was supposed to watch Fighting, but no more tickets, then friend wanted to see "Drag Me To Hell" but the other guy said

"Wa Geang"

Which means I'm scared in Hokkien, of course friend thought he was joking and bought the tickets... true enough, when the scary parts came, the other friend ran out of the cinema 0.0
Then when he was outside he sms-ed friend and told him to call him when the movie is over... woah... 0.0

Is this movie scary?? I have no idea... some say scary, some say funny, some say okok ni... donno... will I watch it?? I really don't know 0.0

Unless they take it off screens ASAP then I'm safe =)

But scary thing happened last Sunday when I was going to take the lift in church, usually there's just a few floors...

Currified Day

Siao Dau!!!

Today is a chilli and currifying day!!!

For lunch I went to eat the chilli pan mee, but the waitress told us we had to wait for 15mins because the shipment hasn't arrived yet for the mee we ordered... -_-"

So we waited...

After some time she came back again and said that the shipment hasn't arrived yet... so asked us to change our mee orders... grrr.... so when it arrived I want my revenge so decided to steal half of their bowl of chilli set there and sprinkle it all on my mee... Ended up for that to be a very chillifying experience, like a bomb exploding inside me along with rages of screaming cries from within... but I can't lie~ it felt good =)

Then after that... went for cooking classes~ ahh yes...
I cooked... curry... urrrgh more of these things =)

Not that bad I'd say for a first time~ maybe got talent-siao XD
There were other two dishes... the pepper something something chicken and vege~
Along with brown rice... mmm =)
Other way... upon going home the nuclear strike exploded out of my butt... must be cause I triggered it by playing that Osim thingy in friend's house... you know those things where you stand on and then it shakes your butt left and right??? Suppose to shake the fat off... but seemed more like it shaked the shit out of me -_-"

Either way... now still feeling the fire in my stomach... BUT... it was a nice and interesting day =)

Shall go wash up now and go to mid valley for a weird exhibition... oh well~ =)

Camera: Weapon or Equipment?

Ahh the Camera... is it just an equipment... or a weapon?? 0.0

A good question to ask indeed... well... mainly a camera would be used to aim and take a picture, but people would like to use the term

"FIRE THE SHUTTER!!!"

Doesn't mean you shoot the window or door.. but they mean to just press the button to take the picture, also known as the shutter button~ thus the fire button also makes people mistake it to be a weapon...

Why do people also think it to be a weapon??

Well... some people call the camera a "BAZOOKA" not that it can fire missiles or win the War against the terrorist... but they mean because of this~
The thing on the far right is the camera, and the white thing is the camera lens, big indeed, let's not even mention the weight~ I think that guy can even put his head inside..

There's also some other term which I forgot... maybe calling it a flash bang grenade or something?? not quite sure... but it's mainly cause of the few hundreds of watts flashing at your eyes directly that can kinda blind you... what is this we're talking about??
Yeap... an external flashgun~ also known as a speedlite, I think... too much names for it~ this is a Nikon D60 with a SB-900 flash, one of the biggest flashes from Nikon, packs a power, and I think it'll surely do a miracle in blinding the person's eyes temporary...

I pity those models on stage posing with hundreds of flash firing at them... wonder if they have shades for contact lens to protect them?? So you can't blame celebrities if they wear shades even at late night, cause it's to protect their eyes... either that or they just wanna look cool~~
Ahh... a tripod also, meant to keep the camera steady, maybe even your house? -_-"

They come in different looks, sizes, shapes, weight, which can even be kinda useful in a fight~ but mainly they serve a wonderful purpose of keeping your camera steady throughout the whole shooting to give you that wonderfully steady and sharp picture XD

Maybe in 20years time they could make a stabilizing technology for the lens to have a steady shot even if you hold the camera for 20minutes... but till then, a tripod makes me happy~ =)
Though I'm trying to prove that a camera and all those other stuff are not weapons... but looking clearly.. at the size and how well built they are maid to handle any bangs on walls, any weather conditons... they're really solid you know!??!?! Kinda makes me wonder now if they can be made for war...??

I guess if camera's were made into weapons it would be used like this~~

Camera - Take a picture of your enemy so can show everyone so they will know who to bash up

Lens - Swing it around randomly and you'll be sure it'll knock someone out more effectively than a baseball bat

Flash - Use it to temporary blind your enemies so you can escape, or bash them up

Tripod - Kinda like a stick I guess... or you can use it's sharp edge point like a sword?? Swing bash and slash your enemy =)

If that happened Photographers would be more feared then mercenaries... 0.0
But till then... the war still goes on for photographers on who has the biggest lens ~ XD
I can't complain, I'm low on budget~ =)

Photography Outing: Lake Gardens

Shall blog about the little Photography Outing I had last Thursday during my holiday~~

Was sort of like a last minute planning, but since Poh Wei is back for a few days, decided to just take him out somewhere, wanting to being my cousin along but he had his own plans~ first brought Poh Wei to EngTong to get his tripod, it was on offer Rm295 so not that bad also =)

So... we headed off to Lake Gardens, heard some nice things about that place, so just went to check it out for myself~ once reached there...

"Har?? Like this ahh??"

Kinda plain, was cheated by all the nice views on the internet... lots of malays all over the place on the swings~ but just move on and see what we could take~
Nice colored flower.... see that little bee in the middle flying there?? Too bad... no Macro lens to capture it -_-"

Ahhh the bushes... over here was where I found a very beautiful blue dragonfly... so big and nice!! But whenever I tried to approach near it, it would fly away... arrrgh... no zoom lens, no macro lens... no good shot...

So just walked away frustrated... u wait la... I set fire to ur home then you know...
Nicely colored leaf up there... would be more wonderful if I had a zoom lens ~ XD

Nice interesting area where the sunbeam shines down just in one part, but I think this could improve to be much much more better~~ super photoshopping perhaps??
Poh Wei's macro shot~ this dragonfly was one of the kindest to stop and pose~~

Bridge... looks kinda safe till you get nearer to it....why??? Well....
Cause of a swarm of bees flying around like mad..... scary but makes an interesting shot, sort of like like trails but more like bee trails~~
Wonder what's all the fuss about??
But stupid me la... went near take picture then talk talk talk till I think one flew into my mouth... now I know how it feels when a fly flies into your mouth when you keep it open~

Cross the street and you'll see a little pond with awesome looking flowers there
Yet again if you want perfect close up pictures, macro lens~ XD

If you don't control your depth of field well... you would get very sharp and clear results all the way which looks rather erm.... confusing

Then you would see a huge round rock with pimples... don't worry those aren't mushrooms, just rocks paste on another rock.. these people too free d
Another pond but it's totally dried up... bad maintenance...

Then after awhile I saw that the skies were turning gray, meaning time to go, then came a malay photographer with his wedding couple just arriving, they look excited, so does it~not to know that 5mins later came a storm -_-

Actually there's nothing much about Lake Garden... and what is my conclusion after this outing??

Well unless you're here to take wedding portraits, or coming with a model, then it's a perfect place to do it~ cause of interesting places for the model to pose~ but if you come alone like me, there's nothing at all!!! -_-"

And of course, having a zoom lens and a macro lens here too makes things oh so wonderful =)

Not to mention if you travel a bit you can find a butterfly farm, which cost rm18 per entry, and rm1 more if you have a camera, rm4 if you have a video camera... whew!!
