APYAC 2009

APYAC, though sounds like a word you'd use to boost the AIYA effect~ =)

APYAC, ahh which stands for Asia Pacific Youth Alive Conference, once in three years, but also a time where different nations from around the Asia Pacific would gather together for a conference~ =P
the gathering place... well it was in GTPJ, was supposed to be in Metro Tab's new church building but not sure la what happened, maybe cause too far and hidden deep within?? According to one of the workers there the nearest place to stay around there would be the hotel in Batu Caves there.... erm... oh wow~
Surprisingly those who joined the conference was enough to fill the hall... and of course the free night concert was even so the more crazier O.O
One thing I really liked about the place was the awesome lighting they had, kept on telling myself man if I had the chance to be the official photographer here sure will go crazy~

But then again they already had official photographers so wouldn't be nice for me to step into their territory, so just sat down and relaxed, giving myself a break, but hands were itchy to wanna take pictures... haha =P
They had different bands coming in from all over the world, this band was from US...

Fun thing about this conference was being able to meet up again with some old friends, and to also see some weird and unique characteristics...
like this guy who was humping the other guy... not sure why but I guess he couldn't hold in his internal desires any longer...??
Then in the corner was this girl crying, and the way the guy was talking to her looked more like scolding her... hmmm.... picking a bad time to dump her???

Then again he could be praying for her~ =P
Well as I sat down and enjoyed the conference... wasn't long till they announced "JAPAN" then I was like... wahseh cannot tahan anymore, so I just ran out to the front with the camera to take pictures of the Japanese.. I mean.. it's Japan leh!!

They had a rather unique performance, some fisherman dance or some sort~ =)
Then they led in worship... mm girl electric guitarist~~

And it's really amazing what you can do with the superb lighting over there~~ <3
too bad no zoom lens to zoom in closer though... unless I walk on stage and stand beside them and take pictures of them~ bu that would be seriously awkward =P

After that erm... performance from erm... forgot =P

One of the Key Speakers for the conference was Mike Pilavachi... I think that's how you spell it...??

But I'm sure many of us has been blessed by him, not to say by the laughing parts till my 6 packs came out, but rather by what he teaches, some practical lessons in life, healing, praying.. etc...

There's so much to say about this conference but I can say that I truly have been blessed by it, it was truly surprising that I didn't expect it to be THIS good!! =]

either way yeah I really have been blessed by this conference, God truly spoke to me, and it's really refreshing too =)

Looking forward to the next one~~ =]
