Kirsten oh Kirsten... kinda a weird thing how we met each other though... remembered it was during HUGE camp erm... 3years ago???

First time we talked was when the pastor on stage asked us to tell the person beside me "God Bless You" and that's what she told me...

After that... errr kinda forgot how I got to know her but she poped up on my msn list and from there on... err yeah ~ she got a DSLR before me which made me envy like mad, but eventually I got mine too, but my skills nowhere near to hers yet at the moment~~

Anyways she wanted to do a photoshoot, was supposed to be some sort of erm... fashion thingy, like those you see on the magazine, so that already was a pressure since I haven't done any fashion shoots before, and to make it worse before the shoot she told me that she wanted to try for modelling and then said the pictures that was taken today would then be used for her portfolio... wahseh stress siao... O.o

Not sure what happened but I was really stressed on that day, we went to Lake Gardens, it's my 4th time coming here, oh gosh.. but was really stressed and nervous, couldn't quite take a picture rightly too... but so had to just slap myself and try to do my best to produce some quite okay looking pictures...

But after taking a short while I've begun sweating, really stressing up myself then, she told me to relax but still... urrrh....

thought she said it was her first time, but I guess she was quite okay in the posing and good enough that she didn't need any of my help in guiding her and stuff~
And this picture that came out made me kinda wow... amazing what an L lens can do... crazy wan sometimes O.O

yeah if you've noticed the different colored eyes... colored contacts... seems like a trend these days??

After this part was done... we then moved on to my favorite spot~~

If only they made that wall higher and painted over the broken cracks, oh well can't complain~~
Then we stopped at a pondok and at this point my 50mm f1.8 lens was already giving me some problems... why?? Donno... the usual focusing problem, looks sharp on the camera but after taking it looks blur... woorrrgh...

At this point she introduced to me manual focus, of course I am not really a big fan of manual focusing because well I'm not using a full frame camera therefore whatever I see through the viewfinder is x1.6 smaller than a full frame, so had alot of bad experience where I tried manual focusing, and it looked sharp but when taking it came out blur...

Not an accident, it happened a lot of times -_-"

Either way, she told me to practice... practice and practice... so yeah I did...
And I guess it came out the winning shot for the day that became a favorite for many others O.O

But yeah I guess manual focus does beat auto focusing in many other ways... though it still is VERY VERY hard to get that focus right because looking through a small screen, and that focusing with live view is harder and slower and much more harder when the sun is brightly shining... but been practicing with it recently and I guess... erm... yeah improving a BIT... not perfect but getting there~~
But yeah I learn new things after every single photoshoot, so it's a good thing I guess~ at least I'm learning something rather than nothing =]

Eventually she complained the usual complain that people make saying that they look fat in pictures... then again, who have you ever seen before that complained that they look thin in pictures??

Either way it was a nice day, though after an hour plus of shooting I became dead tired and dried up, not sure why... didn't take much pictures, but eventually a few of them stood out, so I guess it's not a total failure~ =]
