Animal Photography

Animal Photography seems to be one of those challenging tasks to do... because... well, animals don't stay still!!! Especially my hyper active dog that loves to run all over the place... and animals are harder to take pictures of compard to super models is cause... well for models, you could tell them do whatever pose, and they'll do it... for pets... they would barely understand what you're saying... other than sit and stuff....
I would like to try to capture a picture like this someday, picture from Chia Sing's xanga blog... but problem is that my dog never stretches!!!

The trick I've learned is that timing is always important, especially in Animal Photography... sort of like Candid shots, to try to capture them in their most.... erm... unexpected moments without them finding out...Of course things get bad when they find out that you're aiming a camera at them....
And they'll just move away....
Kinda pissed you off doesn't it???

But in the end as I've read... animal photography is all about finding the right moment to capture that scene of your pet... as yes as the golden rule... you might take a few thousand shots but only 10+ would look good, patience is the key... these are a few that I've captured of my dog when she was sunbathing...

Hehe either way... animal photography is kinda fun~ wish I had a cat to take picture of though...
