This was a rather awkward day though~ =)


On a Friday/Saturday night Lixuan suddenly asked me if I could fetch her to Putrajaya after church on Sunday, because she has to go take pictures of someone, because of her assignment requirement, in which this time the topic is "Portraits" then I thought to myself...

"why my assignments not so cool wan??"

Either way, yeah went that with her after church to meet up with her friends in Putrajaya Alamandar.... amazing place, never could see a single chinese fella, all just malays... O.o

But her friends begun shooting at 8-9am plus and when we've arrived it was already 1pm+ so yeah alot of hours were wasted... so after a quick short lunch....
Then they all begun shooting~

Don't look down on these girls wei, their cameras can impress you, especially the Nikon D300s~ XD

at the beginning I was just walking around, looking and seeing and observing how a photoshoot is like~ =)

It's actually very interesting to watch you know?? =]

But it was their first time, even the model's first time too, then they begun asking me for suggestions and stuff, and I don't know what happened, then just let loosed and begun teaching how to pose and how to take, etc.... which angle to look for in portaits, etc etc... wahseh sounds like very pro like that -_-

Thinking back it was rather embarrassing, should've kept quiet... =p
Either way I didn't know what happened next, I just was suddenly in the group taking pictures too... aiks...

Yeah well later xuan's friends were tired and done taking pictures... can't blame them though they started in the morning, and the time was already 3pm+

so xuan was rushing, rush ah rush, take as many pictures as she could =)


but after awhile their dad's called, time to go home =)

it was a short shoot, haha neither did I have any opportunity to get to know them better, was shy I guess... but one thing I've learned today...

female photographers are uber cool =)

It was a boring day....


You know... usually after some time has passed, you would look at your profile picture and start to complain that it doesn't look nice anymore, then it's time you would have to look for a new picture to replace it~~

for girls, no problem... they can use anywhere to take a picture of themselves, from their room to the toilet, from the changing room to a public toilet, the world is their studio~~

guys... same though, if you're a bit lala-ish then the world is also your studio, you can do what the girls do... but whatever poses the girls do, people would call them to be cute and adorable, but if the guy acts cute in a picture or takes a picture in the toilet, then they would call him a gay, fag, etc~~ so kinda hard to get a nice profile pic of yourself I guess... most likely unless someone takes one for you~~ for my case, I camera shy, you aim camera at me I run~ =)

either way... it was a hot Sunday... came back, opened the room door and

HUAHHH!!!!!

A huge powerful beam of light shot through, nope Jesus did not come to give me a scroll, but rather it was a super hot day till the sunlight just shot through... I think it burned off a few of my leg hair..

As hot as it was... then again such powerful light is rare to be found... so... decided to just take my camera, get the tripod, set things nicely, make some space... and capture a picture of myself~ but didn't wanna look gay and do some sexy poses.... then I found this little creature~~

it was given to me as a Birthday present in the year 2009, lots of memories in it, but since I haven't taken a picture of it before, would be bad to leave it out~ =)
so with the weird sunlight that was shining through, lighting up the whole room, you could do some quite interesting shots by fiddling the camera settings =)
but it was hard la taking self portraits like this.... why???
cause I gotta set the focus right, set the camera to take the shot in 10 seconds, then run back and pose in position.... this is a shot where I was slow therefore it failed... and yes alot of times it failed =)

But yeah after a whole lot of shots, and alot of times failing and wiping the sweat off my head due to the heat, finally managed to capture a shot to call a profile picture~~ this one wasn't easy cause Stitch kept on falling off my head when I put him on there, sorry la I don't have a flat squared shaped head~~~

But then again to try to keep the body stable it caused my arms to look kinda cacat.... so I thought of cropping it~~
Still okay.... but then I noticed the shoulders could be lost~ =)
thus in the end... haha yeah managed to get something I like, and this is my current Facebook profile picture until I get bored of it~~

Wanna take a profile picture?? Try something new, use anything~~ =)

And always see the picture in a different angle, I had to crop two times to get this picture~ =)

you know... this wasn't really a successful shoot for me... =(

I guess one reason was that mind wasn't really working well that day, felt like a little blur, and very drained out... I should blame the sun beam for that since that day was super ultra mega hot also =)

Well we went to TTDI Park, it was hot..... but decided to try out at the bridge first, but it wasn't good... cause of the harsh sunlight that was there in the afternoon gave me a hard time also... so we just decided to walk back and to see what we could find, ended up doing on the walkway since it's rather erm.... empty??? =)



trying out a new version of Black & White shots... but I still am not too passionated about it =(
If you were asking me I felt like in the overall shoot I could've done more, it could've been better too you know.... and I could've did better too~

ahh then again... always something to learn from every single shoot...

But it was not all a total waste you know!! XD

While we've decided to wrap things up and go back, one fat guy ran towards us and stopping us from going forward, no he wasn't gonna dance in front of us but rather because they were filming a MTV at the park (of all places?) and he didn't want us to get into the scene...

well it was a malay girl band, and when it played they were just swinging swinging here and there, then you could tell it's all recorded and lip synced~~ then again, still interesting to watch on how the equipment was set up~ etc etc =)

Oh one more thing~ XD

Didn't know Sue Ann stays so so so so so super near my house, it's like just in the next road or something like that~~~ why dont' they all stay so close??? XD

The first ever video I've watched of him was this version, but seems like this was the remixed version, he made it seem like it's a live version or some sort... but... haiyoh... haha too geng d~~

Sam Tsui.... not too sure if he's asian or not... doesn't look like it but he's name sure is something to question about~~

Seen his first video which was a medley of Michael Jackson's music compiled into one.... which made my jaw drop the first time I watched it, cause he did everything so perfectly, from the parts to the harmony and everything else, not sure how he long it took him to perfect every single minimum part... but it's awesome~ really =)

If wanna do something like this, yes I do know how to put a few of the same fellas in the same video, but if you want me to sing like that... haha impossible~~ =)

A New Term has started.... Nooooo.....


Actually if you're asking me, I'm feeling really lazy this term, I guess haven't gotten the hardworking bug to strike me yet~

But the only bug that strucked me was the stink bug that landed on my laptop at midnight last night.... so I smashed it without a second thought, then the smell...... uwarrrrgh!!!!! Dangerous beast....

anyways... got myself an interesting room this term, only problem I don't like is the bed, it's a double decker bed and I got myself the lowest one, which is good, only thing is that the bed is low, so if I get up like usual....

*CRASH*

goes the head.... ouch.... demonic morning call -_-"

Either way... classes would only begin next week, intense 3 week crash course... I think next week??? So still kinda free right now at the moment though...
So for the time being... shall continue doing "self-study" to get myself ready for the new term... heh heh.... =P

Mrs. Matsuo Ayumi

by far one of the shortest photo shoot ever accomplished XD


usual photo shooting times would be around maybe... 1-2hours, but if you're a professional or super stubborn and ambitious model/photographer then you might go on for the whole day~ =)

for this day my mission was to take a picture of mrs. matsuo~ and never before have I met a girl more shy than me (I'm a guy) XD

she wanted a photoshoot, and I did my best~
Beginning stage was a little easy though when her attention was mainly drawn towards the phone and stuff~~

but when told her "you ready?" and when asked her to look towards the camera.. you could start to notice a redness flashing throughout her face~so mainly what she did was give a "hehe face" and turn around here and there, sometimes even putting the hand in front of the camera to block it, over shy-ed I guess =P



Then again... after erm... 9 minutes, I've thought maybe it was still too early to do a photoshoot, one reason was because I guess we weren't familiar with each other yet, and haven't build a trust to ask her to jump around and go crazy yet =P

My mistake~~

and I think it too is a very common mistake that most people make... just expecting the model to just "pose" right when you point the camera at them... but sometimes we still forget the most basic things that makes a picture nice~~

"TRUST"

I guess I rushed into it too fast without taking the time to sit down and talk and to know each other better to build the trust be make the shooting much more easier, and to make the other person feel comfortable about it~ etc etc.

not easy you know taking pictures!! Got alot of socializing work to do... only noticed this mistake when I noticed why my pictures weren't even improving at all... heee....

The things one can learn throughout every single shoot, and mistake that one makes... whew~~ but take everything as a learning process, and do better much more next time =)

but yeah la she memang shy also, but then her friends told me "HAR? She shy!?!??!!" so it makes you think~~~~ =]

Friends of The Same Sex

Don't worry this isn't a post to promote gayness nor it is a focus on Mr. Universe candidates...


Either way, just ignore my manly legs =)

This was a group picture we took in the guys dorm before the term ended, for what reason?? Well one main reason for this was to be a picture that our Cambodian friend U Mong could take back to remember all of us, well not everyone is here but good enough~~

But just felt random in the office now to wanna blog about what a joy would it be having friends of the same gender, and how sometimes it can be better than friends of the opposite gender~

Now.... to make it clear, I'm not being sexist or anything ok??? I'm just writing this from my point of view by being a man, I have never been a girl before so I do not know how this works for the other side~~

*Ahem*
Same Sex: You can go around to lend your hand to a friend of the same gender, maybe it could be a pat on the shoulder, or a hug, or even a comforting pat on the back to encourage~ and yes it can be very encouraging in times (of course sometimes it could be a whack in the wrong areas for entertainment purposes -_-)

Different: try to randomly do it to a girl and see she scream and slap you anot??
Same Sex: he can take off his shirt for a photoshoot and it'll be a joke that everyone would love and click on "like"

Different: becomes pornography, or as what other hamsap people use as an excuse: "Art"
Same Sex: you can play sports with your full might, and don't care of crashing or kicking one another, just as long as you play and win

Different: you'd usually play like you're handicap because "giving chance mah"
Same Sex: You can punch one another for no particular reason and even randomly..

Different: Go and randomly punch a girl and she'll see you in court
Same Sex: friends of the same sex can give you a more different kind of happiness

Different: Not to say girls don't make me happy, they really do in fact =) but the kind of happiness is a totally unexplainable and different feeling
Same Sex: You tend to become more gila than people would think you to be~~

Different: Don't know, would most likely mellow down a bit... I'm sure you'd noticed alot of people who are more gila with their bunch of friends in the same gender??
Same Sex: When you've got hit in that particular spot, we'd go OOooo!!!!! And understand your pain immediately

Different: Erm.... cannot explain to them unless they have it too...
Actually there's a LOT more examples why sometimes the friends of the same gender can be nicer... but whatever reason it may be, it's always better to have friends of the same kind, because there's also a limitation from what a man can do with a woman~~ they can become more understanding in more sensitive areas, and can easily relate...
Each man and women is different... but they are all unique in their own way~~ well in whichever way it may be, go out and get a mixture of them all ~~ and you'll see how life can become more rainbow-colored for you~~

and... well don't be like "I LOVE WOMEN!!" or "I LOVE MEN!!" and just go and have friends of the opposite sex, not to say that it's wrong... but if you don't have any friends of the same gender then I'd say something is not right with you already.....
but just go get friendships that would last, a friend that isn't ashamed to tell you of your faults, to give you a big tight slap when you'd done wrong.. but in all, a friend that isn't ashamed to give you a hug and to always stand by your side, even at times when you need someone the most... and of course... most importantly would be to get a friend that influences you in the right way.... get those that would guide you in the right path, not the path that'll screw up your life~ =)

Rudeness

Not really the topic I would like to touch on... but then again times have already changed...


Times have changed, people have changed, generations have changed, mindsets have changed... one major change, the increase in rudeness =)

Why write about this??? Well.... for the pass few days I had one of the kids from the children church that kept on messaging me on facebook, and she'd always ask if I was Francyne, no I am not... but still don't understand why can't she look at the name for herself, even if can't read the picture by itself makes a nice thing to show that I'm not a female...

But it happened again, and again, yet again, once more again~ till one fine day.... ah sigh.... here's how it went~~
Hmmm.... I really can question a lot by looking at this conversation... censored out the name and face for safe-keeping... but in a way yeah we could really see that the kids in the next generation has already changed~~

But then again... isn't a familiar word to hear it saying from your elders why kids now don't show respect??? And then we would mainly reply in our hearts "Cheh"

But when we start growing older, we tend to be like our elders and wonder why the kids now don't seem to show any respect towards us, the way they call us, the way their eyes look at us, etc... makes you just wanna reach out your loving arms towards them and STRANGLE them!!!

Kids have changed huh?? Not as innocent as we'd remember ourselves to be like when we were at their age....

Kind of similar too when I was teaching a class on Sunday and when we came to the area of respecting others, which also a thought came to me... how are we ourselves even treating other people, how are we even treating our parents? elders? authorities? etc. would respect be something earned or gained?? Or something to be received freely??

Well unless you have a gun in your pocket, not much people would respect you I guess... but then again as a person we do have the responsibility to respect and show love to one another, even though it would be a moment of lowering yourself down to the ground like a worm, but rather than earning respect, giving respect should be more important to one another~ =)

Either way, Respect others, and you'll slowly see the respect coming back to you~ be an example to others that you respect them if you want them too to respect you back~

Even if you don't receive and respect back in return, but rather getting a fist to your face... just continue showing love and respect~ knowing that your father in heaven is looking down =)

Might seem stupid and lame... don't know~ I guess now in this corrupted world... being the one to stand out and to be an example of showing love is what we need now to change this corrupted world...

We just need to show a little more love and respect =)

U Mong's Farewell Party

alot of celebrations and parties in one week huh??? =)





for the last week of the term, and which is the last term for our friend U Mong, so the guys planned to give him a farewell party, and to make it even better, BBQ!!



But for me and some others, we had our last class also on that night, and which was also our final exam... whew~~ XD



so also a bit hard to focus, thinking about the BBQ gonna have later... hahaha!! So the other students started first, in cooking and eating~~ whew~~ so finish what I could do, then just hopped out of the class in joy~~ =)

by then alot of them have already begun cooking and majority, already eating~~

An Zhao... would be traveling with him to China in August, where he would be my guide... do I trust him?????

Frankly now I'm not too sure.... O.o

Well and that was it for the night, during the weekend he went back to Cambodia since he is finished with his studies~ =)



You know, it's times like these where we feel sad because a close friend has left us, and going back to his country which is far off...but then again, looking back at the pictures, videos, and even imagining all the crazy things and the weird memories that we had together, that puts a smile on our face, and that would always help us to remember each other~~



haha though now he feels far from us, but we'll surely miss him, and we surely know that one day we'll see each other again, might not be today or tomorrow... but I've got a feeling it's gonna be very soon =)
