April 30th

Ahhh April the 30th...

Tomorrow's our BCM Day... I'm tired of all the preparation, not sure why feeling so tired too, was struggling to even stay awake in class~ must be cause woke up too early today... oh well...

After Chapel service we got ourselves the new BCM T-shirts to wear for tomorrow... I had a choice between black, light blue and red.. but I still went with black~ though it's gonna be a scorching hot day... but oh well, I like black~ =)

Then went to buy fishes in the afternoon for my game, still not sure why I joined the games committee... since I'll also be taking pictures and videos, oh well~ do the work of both~ went all the way to Subang, beyond the airport there to some huge factory that sells cheap cheap cheap fish!!

How we got there was the fun part where the driver was flying on the highway of more than 120KM/J which is kinda fast, what's more fun is putting the head outside the window and enjoying the wind pressure till an extend where you can't really open your eyes anymore~!! Awesome..... came back with messed up hamster hair~~
then after a little setting up... then had library duty... man... of all days to spoil the mood...

But... oh well, now still siting here waiting for the batteries to charge up, not sure how much longer though, hope they charge up soon... I wanna sleep wei... gotta be in Chapel at 6:45am...

Oh well... now into learning about flash, and used my old small camera to take these shots with flash... kinda impressive I'd say.... they do look kinda clear too~ and the skin tones aren't that bad... like a natural color there~~ I must be getting better... gonna go on a photo outing someday soon... give myself a special theme and challenge to see how far I've gone~

Photography Outing : Putrajaya

Finally felt hardworking enough to post this post up~ =)

Last Friday, me... Tet Leon + Poh Wei went for a photography outing to Putrajaya~ finally could go there after being deeply inspired by THIS website... and how amazing the colors are at night, so planned a trip to Putrajaya~

We were supposed to leave at 6pm but Tet Leon was caught in a jam, but we eventually reached there at 6:40pm+ not too bad but I guess the sad part was that the sunset was already fading in the sky...
But not bad... though the sky still looks plain, just need to add Canon's CLEAR Picture Styles, then everything becomes a wonderful silhouette along with a beautiful combination of sunset and blue sky colors~
Ahhh yes, pictures without Watermark, you can click on it and it'll show the bigger sized of it
Good to view things in large print once awhile don't you think?? =)
But yeah after the sun set till a certain extend, every shot felt the same already,
Ahh yes, I'm still stuck with using the kitlens, but... it's a good and perfect opportunity to try out the new tripod~ (Image by Pohwei) =)

so after a couple of shots... we walked down to the park lower, and headed towards the lower part of the bridge...
When we reached there, saw Tet Leon setting up his camera, and everything just felt unique... so instantly set up my tripod!!
And captured some shilohuette shots of him taking pictures...

But after looking at the pictures it shows no mood, no impact, doesn't tell a story of what the photographer is taking picture of... so decided to take few steps back, to the right, and change my angle of view..
Mmm nicer... at least it makes some sense now... but yeah sometimes the best shot might be just a few steps away, or a tilt of the camera... remember that!!

But yeah I still like this the best overall...

Then while they both were still up there, I went down below to the bridge!!
At that time the sunset has already ended, and the era of night has begun... whew...
Got this under the bridge, cause they had a bar blocking I had to squeeze my way through with the camera over it... scary move.....

After taking some shots... felt random so just did random light trails using the bridge

And over the distance you could see the mosque... and on the right is... sort of like the town square~~
Wanted to capture the water... but didn't come out as I've expected....
Then upon taking this shot I didn't tighten my tripod so the camera was going down and down... and this shot came out -_-"
Oh well, after this shot we felt that we covered QUITE enough....
Yeah... after that we headed towards the center of the bridge!!
Had to capture some light trails one you see so much cars...
For THIS shot ahhh.... well at such a low angle would be hard to adjust the tripod, far to say getting it to pop out of the road a bit too.... so how did I do it???
Ahh yes, the odd things in life...
Don't try this k... if not done right a car could smash you straight or something else worse...
Then Tet Leon crossed the road, and was in the opposite center side taking a center view of the bridge...
Added a wind effect to combine the mood with the car light trails behind him

Then I felt brave also to run across the road!!! And yeap... it looks fantastic...

Found an interesting alien light~ in which this is the source of the weird but unique colors on the bridge, should steal it back one day =)

Ahhh... then after some time, we all felt hungry, can't blame us though... we skipped dinner, and after finding out that the time was already 9pm... man we wasted 2hours+ just by taking pictures of the bridge...

So we headed towards the town square... hopefully there's some food there, but wahseh... all shops closed d... =.=

Oh well... I see a nice mosque in the distance...
But comparing to the pictures, not sure why it's like not well lit... maybe cause it was a Friday?? Hm... not sure, darn....
So yeah... not well lit so the light doesn't really show...
The best I could go is also this far...

Oh well.. there's another nice shot to capture in the distance..
The Bridge again~~ then cannot tahan already so we went back for dinner... shall try again soon!!

Hmmm overall, we haven't covered the whole thing, but I'd say we did get some pretty good shots that night, and going out with photographers compared to friends does give a different field, where about friends would be going...

"WOOI hurry up ah, still taking pictures meh!?!?!"

And a photographer would be more like

"Use f/8 and 20seconds exposure!!"

It's more like one would wait and the other would rush~ haha but yeah it's a totally different feel altogether...

First Photoshop Attempt

First edited picture that I have ever made in Photoshop.... I amaze myself sometimes =)

You know I've had Photoshop CS4 in my laptop for a long time, but never actually sat down to really wanna get into it because of laziness and the lack of knowledge of wanting to do anything about it... but after being inspired to want to produce such wonderful qualities and feel of pictures like how the pro's do it... I guess I have no choice...

But I guess I was still lazy, trying out different settings in wanting to produce pro quality pictures without the use of a pro-lens... wanting to master fully before moving on and believing in due time when I'm ready, new equipment would fall from above...

But yeah... was really inspired when I looked at my friend's blog... Crazy Ivory, he just uses a normal kit lens, but yet produces such magnificent quality pictures, how?? Well by major editing... yeah I agree like how most people might feel in saying that when you edit a picture it takes away the main originality of the picture, where it all becomes fake already... true true.. but I guess learning a skill of editing isn't bad... to make a picture look perfect... hmmm not sure how to say, but I guess it's all about putting in the mood that you would really want in a picture~

Did you know that Black and White pictures also requires major editing in the colors?? =)
But yeah... a perfect example was this picture that I took 2 years ago that was left hanging in my computer... you can tell because COS' legs are still high, but now their shorter already....

Adding in some mood... Giving a darker feel to it, and making a light like shinning down unto COS... click here and there... and...
Tada!!

Yeah I know it's nothing really impressive, but for a first try I'd say not bad gua... for me la~ but still got more to learn in Photoshop... hmm... so much stuff to click...

Been awhile since I've posted pictures from my camera phone... starting to pile up already~ =)

Malaysian's entering the bus... sigh... know full d the driver still wanna stay there and let them push and squeeze their way inside... stupid stupid driver... see me there?? =]
Ended up the bus just went off like that... wondered if the guy fell off half way?? XD
