Japan Has Done It Yet Again... O.O"
Japan has done it again... and I think this is crazy~~ 0.0

Been seeing a lot of these Gundam pictures lately over Flickr... after observing a few of them, they all had the similar title of "Life Sized Gundam" so I thought maybe must be another few people who put their Gundam Models and then take a picture with it close up making it look like it's really huge but actually it's just a fake picture in the end... =P
Then I thought of searching it up in the internet... then.... my gosh!!! O.O"
woah...?
ehhh...???
eeee!?!??! OoO"""
Supposily this is really... REAL!?!?!?!?! O.O"
After reading articles on it... then only realized that this 59-feet full 1:1 scale Gundam is found at the Gundam Crisis attraction at Fujikyu Highland. Why did the Japanese become so free to do this??? Well just to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the mecha anime/manga/toy/video game franchise, this 18-meter-tall (59-foot-tall) Gundam RX-78 has been erected.
Part of the "Mobile Suit Gundam 30th Anniversary Project," the structure in Odaiba's Shiokaze Park will stay up for only two months and be built from fiberglass-reinforced plastic over a steel frame and coated in a layer of awesomeoness.
Fifty points on the Gundam statue will emit light, and mist will shoot out of 14 different points on the statue. The 1/1 scale Gundam boasts a moveable head and a continuous stream..... wooooaaahhhh....
This is the largest Gundam statue ever constructed in Japan. In the 1990s, a 33-foot-tall LM312V04 Victory Gundam was constructed. There is also a fan-made 23-foot-tall 1/3 scale MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam in Japan. Though, this isn't the first time a life-sized Gundam has been created.
Back in 2007, a 1/1 scale Gundam was built for Fuji-Q Highland amusement park at the foot of Mt. Fuji; however, this statue did not stand upright and was built lying down on the floor.
Staring this July, it will be possible to view the 59-foot-tall Gundam free of charge. No kidding, some folks will just look out their window...
Supposily they built it first in some underground place,
and took them only TWO DAYS to finish building it... that's fast... 0.o
Why the wires??? Will get there in a minute!!
And of course they have to do alot of maintenance work to it.... hmmmm =)
Here you can see the workers going up there to maintain it... and without a safety harness, and just standing on the Gundam... makes you know that it's not just cheap plastic... it's hard!! =)
Opening up the hatch??? Wonder if he's going to pilot it~ =P
But yeah they've made it in such a way that even at the late night the lights will shine upon it and displaying it's majesty, I think that's why the wires are used for... to even light up the Gundam's body and head... 0.0
I think the head can move...???
but yeah... it's just gonna be up there for 2 months... arrgh...
Anyone wanna go Japan now!??!?! Bring me along!!!!! XD
Wonder if they'll make a Freedom Gundam in their next project... that would be wicked~ XD
Suddenly I feel inspired to buy a Gundam =)
Ahhh Japan... a crazy yet wonderful place.... wanna visit there soon =)
