Words From A Guy Holding A Camera

It's been an interesting journey~

Starting off with a normal lomo camera when I was a child, moving on to a little digital camera, and now upgrading to a DSLR... hmmm... alot has changed 0.0

Been taking pictures for quite awhile now, but only felt like getting serious in it starting from last year, learning new stuff each time whenever I press the shutter button, and trying to make each picture count and to make it look good... of course it's never easy to make each picture look perfect, there's bound to eventually be a few pictures that decided to rebel and look ugly so you can be mad at them -_-"

And since my kitlens had problems, been having trouble taking wide angle shots, so now just resolving to use my 50mm lens now more often, which IS a good lens because of the sharpness and the details it can produce, only problem is that it can't go wide angle... but since I've got no other lens, maybe would be a good time to master it~ just stay away from group pictures -_-"

haha, and having a tight budget it's even harder to buy a new lens, lens in US is cheaper though... got a friend who's willing to help buy and import down for me, but still need the money first~
Alot has changed I guess.... beginning from the time of using a Canon EOS 300D...
to a current 50D~

And seeing how God has made it possible for me to learn new things by bringing new people into my life, bringing for me new photography opportunities~ and I'm glad they're all coming in at a manageable pace so I have time to go with studies and church and all ~ =)
Recently even had a chance to learn about portraits from models and stuff... which is an interesting learning process~
Even learning more and more about the manipulation of a picture using photoshop, I just simply click click click then became like this I also went...

"wahseh... how did I do that??"

But really... gotta thank God for how things go =)
Few weeks ago I've sent in this picture as an entry to a magazine, hoping to at least see my picture in a magazine, sadly it wasn't chosen~ but oh well, it's good, meaning I've still got more to learn and to get better and better each day~ shall try it again this month =)

People have been asking me why haven't I bought any new equipment yet?? And yes I do admit it's kinda sad having such a powerful camera as the 50D yet sticking to taking pictures with it using a kitlens while it should be used with an L lens~ haha but lens ain't cheap wei!!! Still saving money for it, and also looking through alot of lens to find out which lens is suitable, and which lens do I need, not want~ but... no rushing in it though... when I'm ready for it I'm sure it'll come naturally... a little sad though sometimes~ but!! Be patient!! XD

Planning on joining a competiton too, since I'm having the lack of money, and not being able to fund nicely for my photography equipment, I've thought... well why not give these competitons a try?? If I do win, yahoo~ free stuff... but if I lose, well not all hope is lost, but just take it as another new experience to learn in life to get better~~ either way it's still an interesting process in life, no one jumps to become a pro straight that's for sure =P

Haven't thought of charging people for taking pictures yet, but when the time is right... I'm sure I'll know when and how to do it~~ taking it slowly...

Either way... photography is really interesting~ seriously... it goes beyond the feeling of aiming the camera and pressing the button, no no no no no it goes beyond that~~ after getting into this area, I've finally been able to understand the phrase "A Picture Speaks A Thousand Words"

Hopefully as the years go by, I'd improve better and better, and hopefully letting God be able to use me in one of these areas to glorify Him, whether it be through a simple picture, or something else, hopefully He'd use me to accomplish His plan and be a blessing to others =)
