New DSLR!!!

Today someone has blessed me with a new DSLR!!!!!!!! XD

HAHAHAHA not sure if I have fooled some people anot BUT ahh... just feeling like a rascal all of a sudden, nah it's not my new DSLR it's my friend's brother's new DSLR, a Canon EOS 500D, he brought it for me to help him clean it with my uber big blower =)
It's my 2nd time holding a Canon EOS 500D though... it's sort of like a close brother to the 50D since they all have similar features, but 500D rocks in a way more because it can record HD quality motion video~ not quite sure why they didn't include that into the 50D but oh well I still love it =)

Of course recently Canon has released a 7D in which the features are... crazy.... 0.0

Still... gotta get myself a video recording camera someday since now I don't have anything to record video with, sigh my powershot has reached the end of it's life... still trying to find ways to fix it myself though, too egoistic to bring it to a repaid center YET!! XD

OH WELL~~ Anyways checked it, and it's totally clean though, no dust or stains, but still just gave it a little push of air pressure... shall blog one day on how to check your camera for dust, BUT that's for some other time =)

I've only seen these in magazines and barely seen anyone using this, but it's a macro lens!!! =)

Of course it looks cool here with the darker color... but when I use the Japanese Picture Style...
Ahh yes you can see how dusty it is~~ =]

There was a big long smudge on this lens though... but looked to me like it was a stain caused by rainwater or any other form of liquid... but anyway used the lens pen, and removed 98% of it, still a little small spot there, but don't wanna do too much after break this lens then cham O.o
But yeah it's my 2nd time holding a macro lens also, first time was when i went to midvalley to play around with the 100mm macro lens~ man that is awesome =)

But for the price of Rm2500+ I turned and ran.... -_-"

This is a 60mm range, not really the most popular one because of the short range so can't really capture the insects, and since it's an EF-S you can't use it on a full frame body like the 5D or 1D... BUT for just a basic macro lens to capture still life, or maybe dead insects... this lens is wonderful =)

Kick in a close up filter and I think you can go berserk with this lens and how close it can go!!

The picture above was the CLOSEST range I could get with my 17-40, but let's see how close a macro lens can go instead =)

Macro is nice, macro is wonderful and macro is just awesome~~ but not something I would invest in YET at the moment, still leaning towards more of people portrait shots at the moment~ but still got so so so so so so so so so so so much more to learn, current project is to try to get better at photoshop since was inspired yesterday by a female photograher and a perverted photographer that says he loves to take pictures of sexy naked ladies, but you can't deny the fact that his pictures and photoshop skills are darn good -_-"
