Youth + Church Camp 2010

A combination of both Adults + Youth camp, same place but separate halls... saves money I guess XD



Ahh hahaha it's that time of the year again, an exciting event of joys and random sufferings, yeah well... it's the time of the year for Church Camp~~ not just a time to go out and enjoy, have fun for a nice vacation out of KL (mainly about that) but also a time to come closer together with out another, to build friendships and fellowships, to grow together, but most importantly to all receive a touch from God~~

Though we had the Adults, Children and youth camp at the same time... this time I was put as the adviser to the youths, not sure why, but a higher position does make one feel more powerful, and also gives you a joy to know that someone trusts you to do something... think it as a training since in the future I might do somethings more worse than this~ whew =p

Either way... let's begin~~
This time we went to Kuantan, Bukit Gambang, something Water Resort, seems like alot of churches would be going this place for camp because it's a new place~~

But once went there.... first impression was:

"wah, so many other races wan??"

Either way.... hmmm to jump jump, I lazy take picture till the sessions begun, so so so... .

Mainly you would be seeing the pictures from the Youth camp~~

In the beginning we had an ice breaker, so the team leaders would then have to pick up some letters on the floor randomly, and then make a group name out of it....
either way.....
I don't think anyone could pronounce it...??

so these were the four group names.... oh gosh~ XD
and that was the camp banner specially made by them~~
We had a bunch of new people rising up, especially in the worship team.... impressive =)
"Who wants to give money to Tee Juan???" *all raises hands*

after a good service to start out the camp, then they passed around the camp shirts to try out~~ jeng jeng...

Day 2

Had an early morning, I guess mainly because of the aircon too super awesomly cold.... so was forced to wake up and run out of room and stand in the sun to warm up... but after breakfast, then walked around with xuan for a tour of the place.... interesting...
they had a small erm... fun fair there, and wahseh... every single ride if rm4.... super wei...

Economy downturn also need to eat money for fun -_-

this one ah I think was the most awesome one of the whole rest of them~!!!

judging from the looks of it I'd say that this is one of those solero shots thingy that you can see in genting, that they'll shoot up into the air and come down fast~~ but for this......... erm..... before you can even start screaming you'll already reach the top I think....
Not sure about this ride, but by looking at it and seeing how they named it "Crazy" I'd never ever try it..
but to say... well this is all of it...
then they have like a little bazaar there, where everything is just.... well.... left there, from expensive looking paintings to weird looking crafts, all of them could be sold for something.... but there was just no one there, not a guard, not a sound, no one.... I could easily take and sell some =P

After lunch, then a time of games to spice things up and to piss some people off =p
treasure hunt, which is to run all over the place to find things~~
it's actually not that bad... just that the killer part of is it running up and down the stairs, back to the station to report that you've found it,then get the next clue to the next thing, then run again up and down the stairs~~


you can say it's rather a life-absorbing experience =)

Oi.......... shouted Eliza because the other team forgot their clue and blindly ran ahead =p
yeah~
after awhile you could see their faces like giving that expression saying:

"No more...... no more......... help....."

but all I could say that God was working in each and every life tonight~it was great =)

3rd Day
no matter also I had to take some pictures for the adult service too... sigh run run run~~

But yeah to say Strepsills suck and don't work at all.... it's more like a tasty sweet instead though =)

Usually in the last night they would go wild and not sleep, so the face explains mainly that they had a late night =)

After that... well just a time of picture taking and testimonies ~~

After that... well they just went crazy~~
ending it all with a last song of worship and praising God, running all over the place like a train~

of course this girl almost died when she tripped over my tripod that I left there~ whoops =p

if you're wondering about these pictures.... erm... no we did not become too over spiritual that we became part of the Holy Spirit~~
rather just using a slower shutter speed of 1/8 with the flash to freeze the movement~
kinda interesting how things turn out~
especially how love blooms on the battlefield XD

well... that concludes the camp~ then what's left was to eat and enjoy the remaining snacks~
opening it can be a challenge, but don't give up =)

but it ends with a grand finale when they pushed Karlyn on the floor for the last shot~ XD

Maybe you all should do that for your future group shots~

Ahhhh then comes the summary of what I felt about this year's camp...

Honestly, God never fails to surprise me daily, whenever you think you know something, then He comes up with another new thing to show you "see???" Kinda weird.... but that what makes Him great, especially how He moved in the camp, how he touched the lives of the youths, from the younger aged to those who are older, he still worked...

Another thing what how interesting God has worked through me, that I have never expected it to even happen this time, when praying for others, how he shows me things and uses me to speak into the hearts of another.... honestly I wasn't expecting it, neither did I actually know how it felt like to speak to someone like that until now...

A camp isn't all about God ministering to the members, but even to the pastors, even to the leaders, he can reveal his glory too... hmm..... not quite sure how to put it well into words, but I have learned alot in this camp...
and it too has shown me how much I have grown too in being a Christian, and how much I have grown to become a leader... not the best, but still open to learn =)

But in all... I enjoyed the presence and company of the people of God, his younger generation of the youths...
how he made it possible to be able to so easily open up to the younger people and go gila....
how we went berserk in the water park till I think their gonna blacklist us soon...
how the bunch of monkeys go kacau me in the middle of the night for no reason cause they miss me too much....
Seeing so much potential in this upcoming generation.... and how God is using each of the young people, I guess there is still hope for the world~ =)

I had fun this camp... honestly I know we can do better, and that next year would be even better... that I can promise you all~ let's do our best for His kingdom =)
