Looking Back...

this brings back memories~ =)

Few weeks ago we had this graduation photoshoot for the graduates for 2009, so at that day a professional photographer would come and take a portrait shot for them all, awesome =)
I felt lazy to take my camera out so I left it in my room, but they asked me to take it out and capture the behind the scenes shots, wasn't really willing at first... but thank God I did in the end~
This was the time where they were all lining up to take a group picture
While some others stood in the shade to avoid the hot sun...
Where got ghost??

And it's also a great opportunity to take some pictures too because it's not everyday that you get to wear a black cloak~ =]
And of course... if you want to stand out... just do it, be different~ O.O

Andrew Chan, hopefully next year I can step down and let him take over~ oh yeah~ XD

At this part somehow not sure how but my body bumped the settings and changed my picture style to Japanese... aiks...
Yeah this is the photographer and his assistance, along with his uber cool Nikon D2 =)

After some time, they've managed to get it done, and it was all a relief for many~
They say black can make you look thin, it's a lie =)

Well then we all went inside to the dining hall to relax~~~
Panadol & Colgate Commercial~
Usually they would ask me to take a picture, then email over, but thank God to the technology of Facebook they can now take it themselves as I upload it~
I guess the only problem is that they get a lower resolution picture~

Beatrice & Me
Yu Lian (from China) and me

After awhile later... wahseh cannot tahan anymore the sun was too hot, and the way I was dressed wasn't really suitable to be outdoors, so I just went inside...

It WAS really nice though looking at the pro photographer's 24-70mm lens~ right now it's only a dream =P

While inside, while I was taking some pictures, not sure why but as I fired my flash...
The photographer's flash reacted and fired too... I was wondering "har...?"

I know my 580EX II is meant to be a master flash that can control other slave flashes, but a Canon controling a Nikon flash...?? i thought maybe was seeing stuff, so tried again... wahseh really can fire... O.O
So yeah they got playful then~ XD

If you asked me, I know absolutely nothing about studio photography, even if you were to dump a whole set on me instantly I would not know how to use it at all... too complicated for me now~

Ahhh after the random shots that was taken... we then had to go out to take a group photo~
From top view... check out the 24-70~ =]
And yeah the others had to wait... and it was HOT...

Then awhile later, woohaaa it was done, but weirdly this year they didn't have a hat throwing picture... and the photographer just walked away... aiks.... so yeah I just tried one myself
Though I've taken these shots in burst mode, but lazy to upload all one shot leh.....

Anyways it goes up...
Then it falls down~~ =]

A little look at the indoor studio set-up, so little stuff, yet the results are just... WOW!!!

Just looking at his equipment I think can go over near to rm100,000 lo...
Anyways this concluded the shooting for the day... and we all went back and fainted instantly~ =P

But this day really brings back memories... reminds me of that time last year at the month of September, that post can be found by Clicking Here

haha those days reminded me of the time I got my first DSLR and went crazy around shooting almost anything, what's worse is that I think I was showing off a bit and thinking my pictures were totally awesome or some sort... in which that wasn't a good thing to do~~

But thank God for a good friend, not sure who he is but he wrote himself as "your friend" and made a comment saying that my picture taking angles sucked, ahh I remembered how painful that felt, haha... but thanking him for that painful attack, that kinda forced me into wanting to improve more, to find better angles and composition to make a picture to look nice... read a lot, researched alot...

It's been a whole year though... and looking back, I can't say that I have improved alot... but I guess it've gotten a little better than then, still not professional yet, but still an amature that's learning in process =]
