Out of the Same Mouth

Had a rather interesting experience this week...



You know people are rather interesting, at one moment they can be so nice and gentle, yet behind your back they could be a totally different person, with the same mouth they would sing praises about you but also with the same mouth they could also use it to condemn you...

I know it's not a common thing already these days, also it's rather dangerous too... but after being struck by something like this again it really does make one think... and somehow I was reminded again by this verse...
James 3:9-10 "With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be."

It's also a good reminder to me though... striking me in the rough area.... but yeah James did make a point in his book when he wrote this, and the truth is rather rough too, that with the same mouth we praise God, and with it also we bring destruction... hmm...

how many times in our life that we told God the words of praise, telling Him how much we love him, but yet with the same mouth we can tell a brother or sister to go die... aiks

I felt the hurt of knowing the betrayal of knowing that with the same mouth one person can say both different things to me, and man it stabs to the heart, and somehow I felt a question asking me that if it hurts so much for me as a human, how much then would it hurt God?? How much hurt would it be to Him to know that the creation that He loves, could say that we love him, and yet with the same mouth we would question or even curse him... man.... how do you think He might feel...???

But it's a good reminder to always watch what you say, and it's never safe to have two faces in life, but to always be clear, to be truthful, though it hurts... but at least you're sincere and true... I know it's hard, but let's not be a bunch of people that can use the exact same mouth to bring both blessings and destruction...
